The Casio WSD-F20 Protrek smart outdoor watch with Android 2.0m utilizes the latest tech to help you make the most of you active life.

The Protrek has miniature built-in sensors that measure altitudes, atmospheric pressure and directions and displays the information on a full-color map. Never get lost again as the G.P.S uses three satellites to determine your location. The map can also be used in offline mode if the user’s smartphone is offline or out of range of mobile device radio transmissions.

Casio Moment Link enables you to show you friend’s current locations on the map. When you are linked with GPS function so that you can keep up to date with their progress, even while on the move.

With quartz Movement, it’s water resistant up to 50m and is built to comply with Military standard MIL-STD-810G for environmental performance, so whether you are mushroom hunting or hunting elk, this Casio has something for you!

The rugged Casio WSD-F20 outdoor watch looks familiar because it’s an update on last year’s Casio WSD-F10. It’s a little chunkier and the hardware has been drastically improved. Upgrades include GPS reception and this baby now comes running the brand new Android Wear 2.0 platform. This brings the Google Play store straight o your wrist so you can download your favorite apps. You can even download new watch faces to keep your Casio looking fresh!

Casio WSD-F20 – Our Best Android Sports Watch for 2017

The GPS function is hugely welcomed as this watch is primarily aimed at the outdoorsy types like trekkers, climbers, military etc. There is also support from “offline maps” which means if you get lost out in the wilderness, far from cellular reception, you can still find your way safely home. The watch is controlled by solid buttons and has a “tool button” to check things like compass headings and altitude.

We love the location memory feature on the Casio WSD-F20 which allows you to save your route and mark any important points along the way for later reevaluation.

Can it be used as an everyday watch? You, bet! Sporty guys with ripped arms are lapping up the rugged design but small nerdy office geeks would probably choose something else…

As for cons, yes, the price is steep. At around 500 bucks, there are cheaper alternatives but if you were trekking and wandering miles from camp in failing light and deteriorating weather, wouldn’t you want a Casio WSD-F20 on your muscled arm???
